Post Season is about to start
Well the season is about to start. Here are a few questions.

1.What team from the nl and al will be the surprise team.

2. What manager is on the hot seat.

3. What team from the nl, and al will be the most disappointed team.

My answers for the first question, I say Baltimore will be the surprise team from the Al, and Flordia from the Nl. I say the whitesox manager will be on the hot saet. If the whitesox have a bad year I say he will be fired. For the most disappointted team In the Al I say the redsox, and in the Nl I say the Phillies.

Surprise AL Detroit NL Colorado

Manager on hot seat AL Mike Scioscia NL Lou Pinella

Disapointments AL Angels NL Cubs

one more thing I would add..
Phillies are freakin loaded. I believe they may well get their way this season.
Astros got a shot to surpise as well if the revamped pitching rotation works out. Hitting and runs scored shouldn't be an issue though.
Am I being a Homer? :scetch:

Suprise teams- Seattle wins the West. Tampa will be better than Boston.

Indians might suprise. Hey, in baseball we can all be optimistic more than any other sport. Acta will have a differant atmosphere in the clubhouse. I was never a Wedge fan. He did have a couple lower budget teams overachieve but he was too uptight and played the numbers game too much. That led to an uptight clubhouse where the players werent loose and he dicked around with the lineup too much instead of having every day starters where the players knew their roles.

I dont know enough of the NL to pick a suprise team but if Colorade does good, that wouldnt be a suprise to the people that really know baseball. They have a good young nucleus that already has a winning atmosphere. Plus, they might have the biggest hometown advantage in baseball.

Dodgers wont be a suprise because Torre runs a tight ship. The Yankees would have broke the winning percentage record if they would have had Torre. I dont credit Girardi for the World series because any manger in baseball could win if you already have Jeter, Mariona, Arod, Posada, and Damon, then you add the best FA hitter (Texeria) and pitcher (CC). I was actually pissed at Indians fans when they were calling in to the local talk show and bashing CC for his loss in the playoffs to Boston 3 years ago. They said he couldnt pitch a whole season and wasnt dedicated because he was out of shape. I wanted to call in to tell them that they dont know what they were talking about. CC carried them that far or they wouldnt be there in the first place and that I would have gaurenteed CC would win a ring before his career was over. Especially with the way he carried the Brewers the season after Boston. As much as I hate the Yankees, I was glad to see CC win.

Manager on the hotseat- Texas Rangers manager. He failed a test for coke. If your a winner...sports will forgive you....if you lose....see ya. Especially since Seattle, Angels and Oakland might all be better anyway. One of their best players is a crackhead that cant stay healthy.

Like i said, dont know much about the NL. The Padres suck...dont spend money...small market..maybe their guy.

Disappointments- AL- Boston,

NL- I guess i might be easy to say the Cubs because they spend money but make stupid moves by the GM. Is Lou a coach and GM? I think he just coaches but if he is also the GM, he needs to give up those duties and just be a coach. Im going to guess that the once powerhouse Braves wont be good again. They do have the best OF prospect thats going to win HR derbies when hes a vet. He will be like a sober Josh Hamilton, which would be a deadly player.

If Pujols cant play thru injuries all season like he usually does, the Cards might be a disappointment. I got to watch a spring training game in Juniper this year. Its the home of the Marlins and Cards. Most boring sporting event I ever went to in my life. :;drool:;
